That matters to your move for a mundane reason: the housing that comes with those jobs is new-build in Deer Valley and the far north Valley, where the streets are wide and a 53-foot trailer can use the driveway. Central Phoenix and the older Scottsdale blocks are where we plan a shuttle instead.

Moving in and out of Arizona: the practical part
We run into and out of Arizona every month, most often Phoenix. We run into California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington on the same crews. The move itself is the predictable part: a survey fixes the inventory and the weight, the weight and the mileage fix the price, and the price goes on the paperwork before anything is loaded.
Summer moves into the Valley
Between June and September the working day starts early and finishes early. If your building or HOA restricts crew access before a certain hour, tell the coordinator on the first call: in Phoenix that single constraint decides whether a load takes one day or two, and it is much cheaper to plan around than to discover at 7am. Gated communities in the metro routinely want a certificate of insurance naming the association before a truck passes the gate, and that is paperwork we raise for you rather than something you chase.
Mileage does most of the pricing work out of Phoenix
Phoenix to Los Angeles is 373 miles; Phoenix to New York is 2,406. Distance is the estimate’s biggest line, which is why the New York column above runs well past the Illinois one at the same weight. Access in the Valley is usually the cheap part, a driveway a trailer can reach, and the exceptions turn up at survey, where they belong.
