Start with something most pages about moving in New Mexico still get wrong.
An intrastate mover here needs a household goods certificate, and until recently the body that issued it was the Public Regulation Commission. In July 2024 that responsibility moved to the Transportation Regulation Bureau, a division of the state Department of Transportation. Most guides, and most moving-company pages, still name the commission. If you are checking a mover for an in-state job, the bureau is where to look.
The moves themselves are shaped by two short lanes and one long climate. Albuquerque sits on the I-40 corridor, which puts Los Angeles about 790 miles west — a three-to-six day run rather than a cross-country haul — and Denver 448 miles north. Those are our two busiest lanes from here, and both end at a city we work in directly rather than handing off.

They were on time with pick up and delivery considering I was under a time constraint to leave Washington and settle in in Cali. I was pleased to see my furniture still intact after the long haul. Their wrapping skills were on point, no dents, scratches or damages found as we unloaded and unpacked. The guys seemed knowledgeable and were self-sufficient.
